Ros Boyer (JETS Principal and Drama Specialist)

BA in Communications, Theatre and Media Murdoch University. Dip Ed Drama and English ECU. Project Manager for the GURD Theatre in Education Drug Awareness Project (affiliated with WA Police). Teacher and Mother!

I have worked with Donna over the last 9 years teaching Musical Theatre (a fantastic working relationship). Love of Drama and working with youth have been the motivating factors behind JETS. We are in our sixth year and yet again we feel blessed and confident that this year promises to be bigger and better. Students have grown with us over the last 6 years and have been very successful in the industry ie WAAPA, short film, Channel 10 TV series, plays, etc We are so fortunate to have so many talented students as part of the Jets team.
I am constantly thriving to expand my knowledge of the dramatic art form and undertake many theatre workshops (acting and backstage). Many contacts have been made in the industry, which extends our network not just to the Eastern States but to the USA as well. Our casting registration has proved to be exceptionally successful for students.

My focus is on student centered learning and promoting a positive fun environment where everyone is treated equal and given a voice to be heard. Our dynamic classes give students a forum to express themselves whilst having fun in a non-threatening environment.

My greatest reward as a teacher is student success and I still cry every time one of our students does something that I have helped them have the confidence to undertake. I always follow through with each student’s dreams and goals and hope I have helped make their wings strong enough to fly and to soar to greater heights.

I am truly excited to have such a fantastic team as we enter another great year. We promote a friendly family atmosphere at JETS and hold true to the fact that everyone will “Be Scene and Heard”!

Donna Markovic (Singing Coach)

Donna has been singing for many years, her passion starting with Musical Theatre where she played principal roles in School and Amateur Theatre. This later led her to become involved singing lead with Perth Harmony Chorus where she expanded her knowledge of strong and entertaining vocal skills.
Donna has been selected as a valued leader to represent Perth Harmony Chorus at International Educational Symposiums in the USA and has competed as a chorus member and section leader at International competitions.  Perth Harmony Chorus is an Australian Champion Woman’s Barbershop Chorus (four part harmony) who has been the winners of six regional gold medals so far. Donna has succeeded in many roles including Section Leader, Visual and Performance Co-ordinator, Script Writing, Staging and Performance. She is now enjoying the challenge of coaching other Choruses and Quartets in the West Australian Region.
Donna has been a vocal coach for 8yrs and bases her teachings on a mixed technique of classical and speech therapy approach.  Vocal Health plays a huge role in Donnas’ teachings in turn striving to create a free and beautiful sound.

Lauren Ebsary (Hip Hop Teacher)

has been dancing for 21yrs and has 8 yrs teaching exp.  She teaches dance fulltime and we are very fortunate to have Lauren on the team.  She has been taught by some of Australia’s and America’s top choreographers!

Faith Sutherland (Hip Hop Teacher)

Faith comes to us with over 16yrs dance exp 9yrs of student teaching and teaching exp. She has competed in dance competitions in Perth and Queensland. Her passion for dance shows through in her awesome choreography in both hip hop and JAZZ

Lia has been dancing for the past 11 years and has competed and won in all competitions held throughout Perth.  Lia has a strong gymnastic background, training for many years at West Australian Institute for Sport.  Her dream is to show younger students how to create a passion for Hip hop.
